Do You Realize?

I'm one of the most healthy people alive... surprisingly enough, like Michael Jackson (no not child molestation, not cool) my joints and bones are achy maybe even borderline arthritic but my overall health is great (Side note: If you're curious where I heard this look up on USA Today, the Michael Jackson autopsy results). I've had optimal everything from cholesterol to blood pressure to weight, however yesterday I had a bit of a scare. Everything was like it should be, super optimal, until I got to the last line... Triglycerides: ABOVE NORMAL. I'm thinking, what the hell is a Triglyceride? Turns out it's one of the factors linked to heart disease and stroke. Hunh? How? What? Who? When? Then I remembered I had Wendy's that day... DUH! Of course I'm going to be high on saturated fats!
It was an interesting scare and to be honest I'm still a little freaked out because I've never had a blip on my health screens ever which is nice considering I'm a hypochondriac when it comes to my insides. But events like this help you realize little things which unfortunately become those annoying PSA's, but that's beside the point. Sure my metabolism is great and my health is impeccably right but you gotta work for it. They say obesity is a disease, I say laziness is a disease. And don't get me wrong, I'm very capable of being lazy, but the way I figure is that lazy is nice sometimes but if you're lazy all the time you miss out on a lot of things.
